Workplace air quality measurementMeasure, assess, plan the solution – all from one source.
Welding fumes, fine dust, paint aerosols: we measure the exposure directly at your workplaces, compare it with the occupational exposure limits and show you which extraction solution really suits your production.

Do you know the pollutant exposure in your hall?
Unclear limit values, employees complaining about their airways, the last measurement years ago: many production halls lack an overview of the actual air quality. Our air quality measurement gives you clarity about the existing exposure and what helps against it.
Welding fumes
Generated by welding, cutting and soldering. The metal oxides are respirable and must be assessed according to TRGS 528.
Dust and fine dust
From grinding, cutting and blasting. Fine dust remains in the hall air for a long time and puts strain on the airways.
Paint aerosols and NOx
From painting and coating processes. Aerosols and nitrogen oxides irritate the airways and mucous membranes.
Formaldehyde and ozone
Occur in thermal and chemical processes. Relevant to health even in low concentrations.
Before and after: a real measurement result
Excerpt from a TEKA measurement report (anonymised): welding fume measurement in a production hall, before and after commissioning a new extraction system.
Average per measuring point (5 minutes each)
The situation
- 3 welders MAG welding continuously on structural steel
- Hall doors closed, fixed welding workstations
- Solution: extraction arms at 5 workstations, connected to a central extraction unit, plus an additional suction duct
What the report contains
- Values per measuring point: average, maximum and minimum
- Time curve for every measuring point
- Layout plan and photos of the measuring points
- Conclusion with before/after comparison
The TEKA measurement is an indicative measurement for planning and verifying your extraction system. It does not replace a measurement by an accredited measuring body.
From measurement to the right extraction solution
You have the problem. We deliver measured values and the solution. In three steps.
Air quality measurement
- Dust, fine dust and welding fume measurement directly at the workplace
- Comparison with the occupational exposure limits (AGW / MAK)
- Identification of the pollutant sources in your hall
- Measurement on site, initial assessment also via video call
Analysis and airflow concept
- Calculation of the required air volumes
- Assessment: hall extraction, point extraction or a combination
- Individual airflow concept for your hall
- Energy efficiency assessment included
Solution recommendation
- Specific recommendation: welding fume extraction, filter tower or air purifier
- Measures to comply with the occupational exposure limits
- Guidance for your risk assessment
- On request: funding application and implementation
What you have in hand after the measurement
Not a standard report, but an evaluation you can work with.
- Documented measured values per workplace and pollutant
- Comparison with the limit values (AGW / MAK), clearly presented
- Specific recommendation with a suitable extraction solution
- Airflow concept including energy efficiency assessment
- Guidance for your risk assessment
Clear costs – credited if you implement
We are TEKA, a German manufacturer of industrial extraction and filter technology. From welding fume extraction to hall extraction and dust removal, we develop and produce the systems ourselves. This very experience goes into every measurement.
The air quality measurement is a professional service. You receive a quote in advance, tailored to the number of workplaces and pollutants. If you then decide on an extraction solution from TEKA, we credit the measurement costs towards your project. Whether this leads to an order is entirely up to you.
Know where your company stands
Requirements for extraction and protection against hazardous substances at the workplace are becoming stricter. The measurement shows you where action is needed.
TRGS 528: Welding work
The German Technical Rule for Hazardous Substances TRGS 528 requires a risk assessment, effective extraction measures and compliance with the occupational exposure limits. Our measurement shows you whether your extraction is sufficient.
DGUV regulations
The German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) requires effective protective measures against welding fumes, fine dust and other hazardous substances. The measurement shows whether your existing measures are sufficient.
Occupational exposure limits (AGW / MAK)
Are the limit values complied with in your hall? Many companies do not know until a problem becomes visible. We compare the measured values with the relevant limit values.
Risk assessment for welding
Every company with welding workplaces needs an up-to-date risk assessment. Our measurement shows you where you stand and gives a specific recommendation. Legally binding proof is provided by an accredited measuring body.
Funding tip for companies in Germany: New extraction technology is subsidised by the state with up to 45 %. The order may only be placed after receipt of the funding approval. We support you throughout the entire process. Start funding check →
Good to know before your enquiry
What does the air quality measurement cost?
The cost depends on the scope, mainly the number of workplaces and the pollutants to be measured. You receive a quote in advance. If you then implement an extraction solution with TEKA, we credit the measurement costs towards your project.
What do I receive as a result?
Documented measured values per workplace, a comparison with the occupational exposure limits, a specific recommendation and an airflow concept for your hall. The results serve as guidance for your risk assessment.
What does the measurement report look like?
The report describes the initial situation and measurement strategy and shows the average, maximum and minimum value, a time curve, a layout plan with photos and a conclusion with a comparison to the limit value for every measuring point.
Does the measurement replace one by an accredited measuring body?
No. Our measurement is an indicative measurement: it shows where action is needed and makes the effect of an extraction solution visible. Legally binding proof is provided by an accredited measuring body, in Germany for example via the employers’ liability insurance association (BG).
Can several workplaces or sites be measured?
Yes. Briefly describe in your enquiry which workplaces or sites are affected. We will then agree the scope with you and include everything in one quote.
Does the measurement have to take place on site?
For the measurement itself, we come to your hall. An initial assessment and consultation is also possible via video call, for example to clarify the scope in advance.
Am I obliged to buy anything after the measurement?
No. You receive the measured values and a recommendation and decide yourself how to proceed. Our experts measure and advise – there is no sales pitch on site.
How is the air in your hall?
Briefly describe your situation. We will get back to you, clarify the scope and send you a suitable quote.
Case study: before, 8 out of 10 measuring points were above the limit value – after implementation, none.
