Clean planning is close to our hearts

TEKA uses state-of-the-art technology with Laser Tracker
Surveying large hall interiors for major extraction technology projects used to be a time-consuming undertaking for TEKA service technician Jochen Westermann and his colleagues. For 20 years, Westermann has been on the road around 120 days a year for the air cleaners, who specialise in individual ventilation technology solutions. For some months now, TEKA has been using laser trackers for measuring - state-of-the-art technology with many advantages for employees and customers.

While he used to handle a folding rule and tablet, the 48-year-old now positions a camera with a tripod at various points in the hall. Using a 3D scan, the device measures the entire hall, including all the parts and machines installed in it. "The laser tracker not only simplifies the measurement on site, it speeds it up by up to 50 percent," says Jochen Westermann.

True to detail, fast and precise
Another plus point is the precision of the data collected with the Laser Tracker. They serve the engineering department as a basis for the most precise planning. "Our colleagues in the office can virtually fly through the hall and use the data as a basis for the project's layout plan." Even after the measurement, it is possible to react flexibly to the customer's wishes at any time. If the customer wants to make changes afterwards, there is no need to visit the site again, as all the data for recalculation is already available.
